Who's Ready For Fall?!
It's been 2 years since we jumped off the pumpkin bandwagon at Funky Chunks. (we had to take a stand against the status quo!) Pumpkin Spice creep starts earlier every year. This year is no exception.
I've already watched ads for pumpkin spice drinks and cookies. (I've heard that Cheerios is launching pumpkin spice O's this year.) Social media is ...PUMPKIN SPICE ALL THE THINGS! Very shortly I expect the coffee houses, candle shops, bakeries and homegoods retailers to be singing the praises of and pushing that TIRED old pumpkin spice in our faces.
Knowing that our customers loved our Pumpkin Spice soap; we went on a mission to create a Chunk so Autumny and so yummy that they would forget all about that old pumpkin stuff. And here it is, in all it's fragrant glory...
For the spice part we've blended together loads of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove.
To replace the pumpkin...we went with the superstar of the tropical tuber world...the SWEET POTATO!
A pumpkin spice scent would stop right there...but not us...not Funky Chunks. We had to take this fragrance all the way by adding...
Gooey, stick sweet marshmallows.
Sweet buttery cream.
and baked spiced apples.
BOOM! Take that pumpkin spice!
